Jan Litjens has more than 15 years of experience in (international) VAT management. He started his VAT career at the Big 4 (PwC and EY). From being advisor at the Big 4 he switched to the corporate world where he was global head of indirect tax at Liberty Global and Teva Pharmaceuticals respectively for over 10 years. In both functions, Jan gained experience in indirect tax planning, supply chain optimization, VAT compliance, ERP systems and tax control frameworks.

Next to his VAT-function, Jan started a company in 2010: drimble.nl, that developed into a leading Dutch data- and information platform. Jan sold his company in December 2020. As programmer of drimble.nl, Jan increased his IT skills strongly. In 2018/2019, Jan did the postgraduate Business Analytics & Data Science program at VU University. This increased his skills in applying (big) data for knowledge, insight and actions. 

As of April 2021, Jan started as independent interim VAT specialist and as of July 2021, Jan joined as partner of the The Resource.
