Capgemini
Tax Specialist / Manager | Utrecht
Position
At the Capgemini office in Utrecht, The Netherlands, a new position has arisen for a Tax Specialist/Manager who will report hierarchically into the Tax Director. Being part of a small Tax team, responsible for the Benelux region, that consists of 4 people (including this position), you will work closely with the Tax Director, Tax Manager and Tax Specialist. Coming from a specific tax specialization, in this role the Tax Specialist/Manager will be able to develop into an all-round Tax professional, with a lot of ‘on the job’ learning in other tax fields. Although the role has a main focus on Wage Tax and/or VAT, the responsibilities stretch from (inter)national Corporate Income Tax, to advising on a broad range of VAT and Employment Tax topics and managing the tax compliance processes, as the tax team wants to be able to support and/or replace each other when required.
More specifically the tasks and responsibilities will or may include:
- Provide advice and support on complex employment tax issues (e.g. Work-Related Expense Scheme (WKR) assessment, share plans);
- Support in technical VAT advise, from day-to-day questions to project-based initiatives, such as the implementation of SAP S/4HANA and e-invoicing;
- Maintain and improve the processes Capgemini has within the tax function as part of its tax risk management;
- Together with the rest of the team, support the Tax Director in M&A projects and assist in due diligence on acquisitions, divestments, finance structuring and corporate restructurings;
- Provide (inter)national tax advice and support on corporate income tax and withholding tax matters and special projects relating to (inter)national taxation;
- Together with the team you will have a shared responsibility for managing the (outsourced) corporate income tax compliance process in The Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg;
- Assist in maintaining and improving the TP framework, including supporting with all documentation requirements such as Local files;
- Assist with tax audits as and when they may arise.
Candidate
You have a Dutch tax degree, and you have 2-5 years of experience at an advisory firm or multinational environment. Experience with Employment Tax or VAT is a must, whereas any prior exposure to (Dutch) Corporate Income Tax and Tax Compliance is considered a big plus, although it can be gained on the job as well. You will need to have a flexible mindset to be able to cope with ever changing situations, in addition to a hands-on mentality. Last but not least, you are a team player with excellent communication skills, and you are fluent in Dutch and English (speaking and writing).
Are you feeling inspired? We'd love to hear from you and step into a role where you can truly make a difference.
‘Get the future you want’. Are you interested in joining a challenging ever-changing environment, where you can keep developing both your technical and managerial skills, in a truly global multinational company, please contact Patrick Asscher or Rogier Ploeger.
