Tax Specialist | Amsterdam

About the position

At the Evos corporate Head office the new position has arisen for a Tax Specialist. The Tax Specialist reports to the Group Manager Financial Control and  is part of the finance team. He/she will have a broad range of responsibilities as this will be the first Tax role within Evos. The primary focus is to set-up and manage the tax reporting and tax compliance process. You will also be involved in all other tax affairs and ad hoc tax projects and questions. Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Responsible for all Tax accounting and Tax reporting during quarterly closes and year end close for the group companies;
  • Oversee current and deferred tax accounting for all the legal entities (IFRS based);
  • Complete periodic tax provision, tax accounting on a fiscal unity level, prepare all tax-related disclosures for financial statements and provide tax support during audit processes;
  • Provide necessary support/training to all entity finance staff and controllers to ensure they can make complete, accurate and correctly valued tax accounting/reporting.
  • Monitor and manage the corporate income tax compliance of all group entities, including Dutch and foreign (Belgian, German, Maltese, and Spanish) tax filings. Collect the necessary data for the Dutch fiscal unity tax return preparation which is currently outsourced to an external tax consulting firm.
  • Support forecasting of tax cash flows as part of the budgeting/planning cycle as well as for the purpose of company valuations (M&A).
  • Serve as the point of contact for all tax-related matters within the organization, both internal and external to a.o. government authorities. Liaise with external tax advisors on complex tax topics (planning, projects and ad hoc questions).
  • Stay informed on tax legislation developments that could impact Evos companies.
  • Build and maintain a tax control framework as part of the internal control framework, managing communication with stakeholders such as tax authorities.
  • Prepare transfer pricing documentation.
  • Support in other tax means than corporate income tax (f.e. VAT or Wage Tax).

Candidate

The Ideal candidate has a master or bachelor degree in Tax Law or Tax Economics. You have at least 5 years of relevant experience with Tax Accounting & Reporting at an international tax advisory firm or in industry. Fluency in English and in Dutch is a prerequisite.

You are responsible, accurate, reliable and timely. You are capable to prioritize tasks, and you are a good team player, a good communicator and collaborator. You are continuously focused on optimizing and improving processes and ways of working.

The Evos Finance Team strives to add value to our company by being a trusted business partner working in a collaborative way,  providing analytics to support decision making, increasing transparency of management information, and standardizing company-wide processes, systems, and data in an effective and efficient way. The Group finance team is led by the CFO and consists of Group Financial controlling, Finance Shared Services, Business Controlling, Treasury and Tax. The Group Finance Team is located in Amsterdam.
