Tax Manager | Utrecht


At the corporate head office in Utrecht the position has become vacant for a Tax Manager. The Tax Manager reports to the Director Treasury & Corporate Finance and will be responsible for all tax affairs within Strukton. The role primarily focusses on (international) Corporate Income Tax advisory and planning, but you will be responsible for all taxes (VAT and Wage Tax). You will be supported on Tax Compliance and TP compliance by a team member of the finance organization.

  • Develop, implement and maintain group tax strategy and policies;
  • Advising with respect to International corporate income Tax; including, group financing, business restructurings, M&A/divestments, transactions and joint ventures,;
  • Tax risk management – advise group-wide regarding tax implications of ongoing and contemplated transactions;
  • Ad-hoc support to the business leaders and management with respect to relevant tax matters on a pro-active as well as an on-demand basis;
  • Work with local finance teams to manage local tax matters / audits in line with group tax strategy and policies;
  • Advise, training and enforcement of changes required to meet evolving tax regulations;
  • Prepare or review the final tax calculations and reporting requirements for quarterly and yearly financial reporting in compliance with IFRS, including current and deferred tax;
  • Ownership of transfer pricing policies and the preparation and maintenance of required documentation, ensuring compliance through effective relationships with key stakeholders;
  • Responsible for Netherlands tax filings and coordination the larger Tax Compliance process;
  • Advising on VAT and Wage Tax;
  • Maintain relationships with external tax advisers, auditors and consultants;
  • Partners with key stakeholders – CFO, Treasury, Divisional FD’s.

  • Academic Dutch Tax Law or Economic Tax degree with keen interest in developing and maintaining tax technical knowledge.
  • 6-9 years’ experience in international tax.
  • Flexibility, pro-active, and communicative personality
  • Hands-on, structured, accurate and result oriented.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Dutch.
