Tax Manager | Amsterdam
Position
To support this increasing complexity of the global activities as well as to enhance the automatization of various tax processes, the tax team at the Head Office in Amsterdam will be expanded with a new Tax Manager position. He or she will report directly to the Head of Tax. The tasks and responsibilities will consist of international corporate tax planning for the OCI group with a focus on the methanol / clean fuels segment of the Group. More specifically the main tasks and responsibilities include:
- Tax planning:
- Provide (inter)national tax advice and support to the Tax Director and business at their request and proactively on international corporate income tax, withholding taxes and special projects relating to international tax as required;
- Support in M&A and assist in due diligence on acquisitions, divestments, finance structuring and corporate restructurings.
- Tax process improvement:
- Analyze the current tax reporting processes and procedures, analyze and implement approved synergies and share best practices;
- Initiate, coordinate and implement new tax technology within the Group. This in order to improve data flows, (real time) reporting and make sure implementation thereof is executed;
- Tax transparency:
- Project management and delivery of solutions for global tax developments (such as ATAD, BEPS, Public CBCR and Pillar 2);
- Assist and coordinate preparation of annual Country-by-Country Report (CbCR) and the Master File / Local File reports;
- Tax reporting for the EU methanol / clean entities:
- Assist external counsel with the preparation of annual corporate income tax return of the Dutch tax returns;
- Review of quarterly tax reporting packages at the tax (hard) closes and preparation of (regional) summary reports with main findings;
- Review of ETR and tax accounting of group companies worldwide and to raise questions and/or provide feedback;
- Prepare and analyze the expected tax expense and related tax cash impact of the Dutch entities;
- Maintain a close relationship and strong cooperation with the treasury, finance and FP&A teams;
- Keep track of and ensuring timely payments to the relevant tax authorities.
Candidate
Experience and tax competencies
- Dutch University degree in tax law or fiscal economics
- Minimum of 7-10 years relevant work experience at either a consulting firm or an in-house tax position
- In-depth knowledge of corporation and international tax law and transactional tax concepts and its practical applications
- Experience in providing and explaining tax guidance to non-tax professionals
- Good understanding of accounting concepts and processes
- Fluent in Dutch and English
