Tax Manager | Leiden area
Position
Due to the strong growth of the organization a new position has arisen for a Tax Manager at the headquarters in the Leiden Area. You will support the Head of Tax in a broad range of tax matters across the group’s rapidly expanding international footprint. The role has a strong focus on Corporate Income Tax advisory and tax management. Manage a wide array of tax projects and provide tax support to business. You will be involved in (re)structuring, international expansion (and M&A) and day-to-day tax matters. You will work closely with finance, legal and other (internal and external) stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions. The role offers significant exposure and the opportunity to develop into a well-rounded in-house tax professional within a fast-growing and entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day tax advice to the business on a broad range of direct tax topics.
- Support in (re)structuring, international expansion and strategic projects. Lead tax planning initiatives supporting the company’s expansion across Europe and other global markets.
- Assisting in M&A activities, including due diligence, structuring and post-acquisition integration.
- Working with Finance and Legal on entity structures, intercompany transactions and operational flows.
- Advise business on a range of transfer pricing matters. Define the TP setup, global TP policy and manage adherence thereto.
- Strengthening internal tax processes, documentation, and reporting frameworks to support a growing international organization.
- Support tax audits and inquiries from authorities preparing documentation and coordinating responses with internal teams and advisors.
- Coordinating with external tax advisors across multiple jurisdictions and ensuring pragmatic implementation of advice.
- Acting as a liaison between the tax function and internal stakeholders (Finance, Legal, Operations) to ensure tax is embedded in business decision-making.
- Providing ad hoc support on tax compliance and reporting during peak periods (e.g. reporting cycles).
- Monitoring relevant tax developments and assessing their impact on the business.
Candidate
The ideal candidate is a proactive and versatile tax professional who enjoys working across different tax topics and collaborating closely with senior stakeholders. You are hands-on, eager to learn and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, international environment.
Requirements:
- University degree in Tax Law or Tax Economics.
- Approximately 3–6 years of relevant experience, gained in a tax advisory firm or multinational environment.
- Affinity with project-based work and business-oriented tax advisory.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate technical tax matters into practical solutions.
- Proactive, flexible and able to operate independently while working closely with others.
- Fluent in English; Dutch is considered a plus.
