Tax Director Financial Services and/or Real Estate Tax | Amsterdam
Position
The Tax Director role is based in Amsterdam and is intended for ambitious tax professionals currently working in a Big 4 or law firm setting who are looking to progress their career towards Director level. The position forms part of a highly experienced Financial Services and Real Estate Tax practice and provides an opportunity to combine technical expertise, commercial responsibility and team leadership within an entrepreneurial environment.
You will work alongside Managing Directors and senior client contacts on a variety of complex tax matters, both in the Netherlands and internationally. At the same time, you will help further build the Financial Services and Real Estate tax business in the Dutch market. The role forms part of a period of significant growth for the organization, which aims to establish itself as a leading alternative to the established Big 4 firms. The role will involve a broad range of responsibilities, including:
- Lead and oversee complex tax advisory assignments for clients in the financial services and real estate sectors.
- Serve as a trusted adviser to clients, delivering practical and commercially driven tax advice on both domestic and international matters.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships while building an extensive network within the Dutch market.
- Play an active role in business development and contribute to the continued expansion of the Financial Services and Real Estate Tax practice.
- Identify opportunities to broaden existing client engagements and generate new business.
- Lead project teams and coach junior professionals, creating an environment focused on high-quality work, collaboration and continued development.
- Collaborate with colleagues across international offices and different service lines to provide clients with integrated solutions.
- Take responsibility for the successful delivery of projects, with a strong focus on technical quality, commercial impact and high levels of client service.
- Support the recruitment and further development of new team members as the practice continues to expand.

Candidate
The ideal candidate holds a university degree in Tax Law, Fiscal Economics or a related field and has at least 8 years of relevant experience gained in a Big 4, law firm or specialist tax advisory environment. Experience in financial services and/or real estate is considered a strong advantage.
You are technically proficient, commercially aware and enjoy developing long-term relationships with both clients and colleagues. You combine strong analytical capabilities with a practical mindset and are comfortable working in a dynamic, entrepreneurial and rapidly expanding environment.
