International Tax Manager | Eindhoven

Position

At the office in Eindhoven the position of an International Tax Manager has become vacant. You will report to the Head of Group Accounting & Consolidation and you will work closely with the local CFO’s / finance managers of the PowerHouses. The International Tax Manager will be responsible for all international tax affairs. You will be end responsible for tax planning but also manage compliance; both on a group level as well as for the PowerHouses (operational companies).

Stakeholder management is a key part of the role. You act as the primary point of contact for tax authorities, managing relationships and leading discussions during tax audits. You liaise closely with external auditors and advisors, ensuring alignment on tax positions and reporting. You engage with senior internal stakeholders, including House of HR Finance leadership and the Audit Committee, providing insights on tax risks, positions and strategy. You make sure the PowerHouses, and the finance and legal teams are aligned on the group’s tax approach and work closely with the consolidation team for the tax accounting and the tax disclosures in the financial statements.

More specifically you will be engaged in:

  • Establish tax policies and procedures and monitor existing policies and procedures and make sure that the PowerHouses comply with the tax requirements.
  • Initiate and implement tax planning and tax simplification.
  • Support the PowerHouses (business operations) as well as finance and legal departments with day-to-day tax questions
  • Support the PowerHouses in the set-up and review of compliance.
  • Review and set up the tax policies with respect to the tax reporting of the PowerHouses, such as DAC6 reporting, ATAD3, Pillar2 etc.
  • Work closely together with the consolidation team for tax accounting and reporting cycles and disclosures in the financial statements.
  • Assure fiscal compliance of the group, including CIT, dividend taxes, etc.
  • Support the PowerHouses, where needed, in the tax calculation and tax returns.
  • Support the PowerHouses in the identification and the mitigation of tax risks.
  • Support in M&A projects and post-acquisition integrations and corporate restructurings, group financing, innovation deductions etc.
  • Participate to the defense of company’s position during local country tax audits.

Candidate

  • Master’s degree in Fiscal Economics or Tax Law
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in a large tax consultancy firm combined with some years in-house
  • Expert in International Corporate Income Tax, dividend taxes.
  • Pro-active, accountable, efficient, accurate and hands-on
  • Knows how to prioritize, cope with deadlines and is immune to stress
  • Fluent in Dutch & English
  • Flexible mind and flexible to travel when needed
  • Motivated and a Team-player
  • Parttime 4 days a week is possible
  • Minimum 1 day a week in Eindhover and 1 day a month in Kortrijk, Belgium
