International Tax Manager (The Netherlands) | Rotterdam


At the office in Rotterdam the position of International Tax Manager has become available and will be reporting to the Tax Director EMEA, also located in Rotterdam. He/she will be leading and managing in a wide range of tax subjects, such as tax planning projects, M&A, TP documentation; the US GAAP reporting process. The main focus will be on management of (strategic) tax projects, M&A, corporate income tax planning initiatives and day-to-day tax management. You will also become the manager  for a direct tax specialist.

More specifically the tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Provide tax advice and support the HQ-, regional- and local finance and treasury teams and be a business partner for all direct tax affairs.
  • Provide tax technical input and support with respect to special projects such as M&A, cross border transactions, corporate restructuring and group financing.
  • Managing corporate income tax, withholding tax and other direct tax projects (e.g. ATAD, Pillar 1&2, ESG etc.).
  • Manage and implement the tax strategy and participate and lead various tax projects pro-actively in order to identify and manage tax risks;
  • Assist in identifying and pursuing meaningful tax incentives in support of Bunge’s sustainability initiatives working closely with the different stakeholders within and outside Bunge;
  • Assist with implementing and monitoring tax risk management and tax control processes for the group;
  • Support group companies in case of tax audits and being vocal point for the auditors;
  • Liaise with and be a focal point for external tax advisors and tax authorities.


  • Dutch University degree in Tax Law or Fiscal Economics.
  • 10+ years of working experience at a large international tax advisory firm or as an in-house Tax Manager or a combination whereby in-house experience is considered a strong plus.
  • You have a strong knowledge of International Corporate Income Tax (planning).
  • You have the ability to identify and tackle complex international tax issues quickly.
  • People management skills are essential.
  • Understanding of VAT is a strong plus.
  • You are a pro-active, positive and steady personality, who can work in a very dynamic environment.
  • You have strong communication skills, with the ability to work with and influence senior management.
  • Experience with US GAAP is a plus.
  • Being fluent in English and Dutch is a must.

Working remote for 2 days a week can be discussed.
