Group Tax Manager | Ede

Position

At the corporate head office in Ede the position has become vacant for a Group Tax Manager. He/she will report to the CFO and will be responsible for all tax affairs globally. You will manage the global tax function in close cooperation with the Vietnam based Tax Manager.

The Group Tax Manager sets out the medium and long term tax strategy and you work in close cooperation with the CFO and different stakeholders to address the wide array of tax issues that De Heus is facing. As the company is growing rapidly the complexity of the tax issues are also increasing; you therefore need to be able to make decisions, respond quickly to the challenges and build a solid and sustainable network with the various internal and external stakeholders. More specifically the tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Set out medium and long term tax strategy and objectives in close collaboration with the CFO, given international and country specific tax developments in conjunction with the evolution of the business;
  • Support in M&A and the various transactions from a tax perspective;
  • Develop, monitor and maintain De Heus’ corporate tax structure. Provide high end tax advise on all corporate income tax matters, such as business restructurings, acquisitions, divestments etc;
  • Analysis and delivery of solutions for global or regional tax developments (such as ATAD and BEPS Pillar 1, Pillar 2);
  • Advise on and manage transfer pricing, especially HQ cross charges;
  • Negotiate rulings, APA’s and preferential tax regimes;
  • Support the business on all other tax means (VAT, Wage Tax, Withholding Tax etc.),
  • Manage and mitigate tax risks;
  • Support tax audits and tax litigation, including negotiations with local tax authorities;
  • Monitor and analyze legislative and other relevant tax changes, and advise management and take action on potential impact thereof;
  • Ensure effective use of external advisers – in terms of quality and cost.

Candidate

  • Dutch university degree in tax law or fiscal economics.
  • Between 8-15 years of relevant work experience in an international tax environment, within a Big4, mayor law firm preferably combined with in-house experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate and international tax law and its practical applications.
  • Open personality with energy, being on top of things and ability respond and act quickly and communicate in a understandable and practical way.
  • Team player with an enthusiastic approach to new challenges/can do attitude.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, both verbal and written.

Required to be in the office for at least 3 days a week.
