VAT Manager | Amsterdam
Position
Due to a growing dynamic VAT practice under a new VAT Partner, we are looking for a VAT Manager as an addition to the VAT team consisting of 3. The VAT Manager will be working very closely with the VAT Partner; you will be A-Z involved in major advisory projects, going to client meetings, providing high quality VAT advice. You can independently work on clients and be responsible for maintaining the existing client portfolio and being part of expanding and building the VAT Practice to the next level. More specifically, your tasks include:
- Advise clients on national and international VAT issues, where you are able to translate the clients’ wishes into practical solutions.
- You are also involved in meetings with clients and the tax authorities and work closely with the other tax specialists within the organisation. Together, you ensure optimal service delivery.
- You assist with representing clients before the tax authorities in objection procedures as well as litigations before tax courts.
- You contribute to the expansion of- and maintaining the existing VAT practice.
- You keep up to date with developments in the field of VAT, act as a point of contact for VAT matters for the other tax specialists, and contribute to the further development of knowledge within the tax team;
Candidate
The ideal candidate has completed a master’s degree in tax law and has at least 5 years of work experience in the VAT advisory practice, preferably in a law firm or big4. .
You are proactive, entrepreneurial, client-oriented, energetic and accurate. You also have a practical attitude, work well in a team, but also enjoy and can work working independently. You are outgoing and have a flexible attitude. You have good language skills in Dutch and English.
