Tax Manager | Amsterdam

Position

Redevco is looking for a Tax manager to join the Global Tax Team. The Tax manager reports to the Head of Global Tax and will be part of the team consisting of nine tax professionals. You will be supporting and managing day-to-day tax matters for the group in the countries where Redevco is active. You will be involved in a broad range of activities, including support in various tax compliance related activities and business-related activities like real estate developments, acquisitions, divestments and structures in the region. You will be based in Amsterdam and will support other countries when required. More specifically the tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Assist the tax team with the management of all (direct and indirect) tax aspects of the real estate structures owned or managed by Redevco.
  • Ensure timely implementation of the targeted real estate investment structures with support of the Technical Working Group (TWG).
  • Implement Redevco’s transfer pricing methodology in accordance with Redevco’s investment management strategy and setting up country transfer pricing documentation.
  • Support the business in the setup of suitable and tax efficient JV structures with non-family related investors.
  • Provide tax input on key business processes of Redevco (acquisitions, divestments, lease renewals and major re-developments).
  • Assist with and ensuring tax compliance in the countries where Redevco is active and ensure tax compliance of JV structures in accordance with the JV agreements (generally done by external advisors).
  • Assist with the tax reporting for all real estate portfolios managed by Redevco.
  • Assist in legal procedures.
  • Cooperate and liaise with external advisors. Assist in global ad hoc projects.

Candidate

  • Academic background in Dutch tax law or fiscal economics
  • 3-6 years of relevant experience in an international tax environment gained at a tax advisory firm. Real estate experience is a plus.
  • Good analytical skills and able to make technical tax analyses.
  • Experience with and able to work in complex organizational structures.
  • Work independently and in a team.
  • Ability to understand, assist in the design and coordinate the implementation of complex legal structures.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with management and investment advisors / property managers.
  • Other keywords are: responsibility, initiative, autonomy, sound judgment, accurate and solution oriented
  • Fluent in Dutch and English. Willing to travel.
