Tax Manager EMEA | Utrecht

Position

As Ingram Micro continues to grow and develop, we are looking for a Tax Manager EMEA to join their tax team in Utrecht. Given the continuously changing and increasing complex legislative, political and operational environment tax is an important topic on the agenda of the senior business leaders of Ingram Micro. Representing over one-third of the total turnover of the group, the EMEA region requires a strong and independent tax team that can support the business on its journey to deliver the promise of technology. The Tax Manager EMEA will be an integral part of the global tax team of Ingram Micro. The EMEA tax team is responsible for the day-to-day tax matters within the region as well as for supporting the development and execution of global initiatives and projects.

The tasks and responsibilities will primarily consist of international corporate tax matters and transfer pricing, more specifically:

  • Provide (inter)national tax advice and support on corporate income tax and withholding tax matters and special projects relating to international taxation;
  • Support in M&A projects and assist in due diligence on acquisitions, divestments, finance structuring and corporate restructurings;
  • Assist in managing tax audits by maintaining audit ready files and obtaining support from local businesses and negotiating with tax authorities;
  • Assist in setting-up, implementing, maintaining and monitoring the (global) transfer pricing methodology as well as provide internal TP advice. Support and update intercompany documentation;
  • Assist with the management of country-by-country / DAC6-and other compliance reporting;
  • Provide (limited) support the Tax Operations team with the quarterly tax accounting process and by identifying and reporting on tax matters for FIN 48 and FAS 5 purposes;
  • Liaise with internal departments (e.g. legal, finance and business), including creating increasing tax awareness, and manage relationships with external tax advisors;
  • Liaise with tax authorities on a regular basis;
  • Review the group structure and investments in light of changing tax legislation and business developments.

The Tax Manager EMEA will report to the Senior Tax Manager EMEA who in turn reports to the Head of Tax based in the US. Regular interactions with the Head of Tax, Director of Transfer Pricing, Director Tax Operations and other colleagues from the tax team will be required. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with related departments like Finance, Treasury and Legal will be important to ensure Tax continues to be an appreciated and reliable business partner.

Candidate

  • Academic Dutch Tax Law or Economic Tax degree with keen interest in developing and maintaining tax technical knowledge;
  • 4-7 years’ experience in international tax area within a Big 4 consultancy, law firm or in-house;
  • Flexibility, pro-active, and communicative personality;
  • Ability to work in an independent manner, seeing what needs to get done and actually doing it in a structured and result oriented working style;
  • Ability to function well within a multicultural, dynamic, and changing environment;
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex business issues into simple problem statements, clear processes, and actions;
  • Good time management skills and ability to manage towards tight deadlines;
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Dutch.
