Senior Tax Manager | Helmond
Position
At the corporate head office in Helmond the new position has arisen for a Senior Tax Manager. The Senior Tax Manager will report to the Finance Director and is part of the wider finance team including a Tax Manager based in Germany. The activities are broad tax position in which you will support the company on a wide variety of national and international tax matters. As a Tax Manager you will be eager to take part in all kinds of tax projects (tax planning and management, tax compliance, transfer pricing, withholding tax, tax audits and tax accounting, etc.).
More specifically your tasks and responsibilities include:
- Participate in various tax-related projects, investments, divestments, support in various tax projects arising from new tax developments;
- Advise and support on Corporate Income Tax in Europe;
- Support group companies in case of tax audits;
- Manage and assist with preparation of tax returns (Corporate Income Tax, WHT) of group companies and ensure that all the tax obligations are met;
- Assist in transfer pricing analyses and support in the annual transfer pricing documentation cycle;
- Manage VAT by using external tax advisors and manage compliance activities (prepared by the finance organization);
- Further develop and maintain the tax control framework;
- Proactively identify risks and opportunities, monitor and report tax positions;
- Support local finance managers on tax aspects of the business (incl. tax accounting) and provide training to colleagues in the finance department and elsewhere in the organization;
- Manage and work together with the Tax Manager based in Germany;
- Liaise with external tax advisors, tax authorities and internal stakeholders.
Candidate
- Degree in tax law or tax economics and at least 7 years of relevant tax experience in international corporate income tax, obtained as a tax advisor and/or an in-house tax specialist;
- Hands-on approach (not having a problem to be involved in compliance work when necessary);
- Ability to analyze data and develop solutions to problems (strategic thinking skills and out-of-the-box solutions);
- Broad tax interest (eager to learn and manage other taxes than only Corporate Income Tax);
- Good with numbers, including some Excel skills;
- Ability to coordinate international tax projects;
- Solid understanding of tax accounting principles is considered a pre;
- Pro-active, international focus, flexible and good communication skills;
- NOB Education/registration is considered a pre;
- Fluent in Dutch and English, with preferably good (basic) knowledge of the German language.
Working 32 hours is possible
